Fascinated with the amount of freely accessible human knowledge on the internet we turned to youtube and discovered that many uninsured Americans found this to be the ideal place to selfdiagnose and treat their ailments. Modern hippies, housewives and students exchange tips and d.i.y. methods on Youtube ranging from making your own fake teeth of Fimoclay and removing blisters with a paperclip to making your own sunblock from butter.
Every remedy is created by an amateur, but it is often the only place an uninsured sick person can turn to for help. Touched by this harsh economic reality, we started to collect these movies and catalogued them into a medical encyclopedia containing how-to solutions.
Next to that we even created a few specialized toolkits to execute several youtube surgeries.
All information contained in this encyclopedia is taken from opensource platforms like Youtube and Wikipedia, and is purely based on uncertified knowledge provided as is. Even the fonts used are freely distributed amateur fonts, and all translations are created by 'Google Translate'.
We hope to enforce the idea that amateur knowledge is valuable and having access to it should be taken seriously.
